How It All Started

VelvetCasino Events began in 2014 when our founder, Michael Laurent, recognized the need for sophisticated casino-themed entertainment options in Canada that didn't involve actual gambling. After years in the hospitality and event planning industry, Michael saw how casino nights created an unmatched atmosphere of excitement and engagement.

What started with just two blackjack tables and a roulette wheel has grown into one of Canada's most respected entertainment providers. Today, we own over 50 professional casino tables, employ a team of 75+ trained dealers and event specialists, and serve more than 500 events annually across the country.

Our commitment to excellence, attention to detail, and focus on creating memorable experiences has earned us a loyal client base including Fortune 500 companies, major charitable organizations, and countless private celebrations.

The Beginning

VelvetCasino is founded in Toronto with a small inventory of casino tables and a vision to transform corporate events.

2016

Expansion Phase

After rapid growth, we expanded our operations to Vancouver and Montreal, tripling our inventory and staff.
